NBA fans and athletes are eagerly anticipating the launch of the new swoosh brand NBA jerseys and today that day came one step closer as Nike revealed the first look at the NBA Champions Golden State Warriors jersey.
Furthermore, the NBA announced that every team will have four jerseys each and will be moving away from the traditional ‘home’ and ‘road’ uniform designations. Starting next season, teams will be able to pick what uniform can be worn at whatever time.
Players from Team USA in 2016 have been testing the jerseys and providing feedback to Nike. Their feedback has lead Nike to further evolve the designs in ways that included moving the armhole, neck and side seams to eliminate distractions for athletes.
“The mental advantage of a quality uniform is priceless,” says Kyrie Irving in Nike’s press release. “The fact that Nike listened to all of our feedback while developing the new NBA uniforms speaks volumes. I’m excited for the new fit and feel.”
“When you look and feel good, you play good,” says Draymond Green. “I welcome any competitive advantage on the court and the new Nike NBA uniforms deliver on the feedback that we’ve provided.”
