Yesterday after shootaround, Draymond Green threw some shade at the Eastern Conference and especially the Cleveland Cavaliers’ competition so far this year.
“I thought teams would compete a little harder,” Green said after shootaround, per ESPN’s Chris Haynes. “I just watched San Antonio-Houston. I like to watch good basketball. When you watch Cleveland play, you’re only watching one side of the good basketball. That’s kind of weak.”
After the Golden State Warriors swept the Utah Jazz last night, he was asked again about his comments in the post-game press conference.
Draymond, as always, stressed that this is just his opinion before saying
“I think Cleveland’s been playing great basketball. You watch them, it’s been amazing. And then you watch the other teams that they’re playing against — not so much.”
After being reminded that both the Cavs and the Warriors have swept their opponents, Green was quick to throw some credit to the Utah Jazz, who gave the Warriors everything they’ve got in their four game series.
“You’re not allowed to have an opinion, Draymond,” Kevin Durant said after Green finished his comments. “You’re just supposed to play basketball.”
Lets hope he continues to have an opinion on literally everything that comes into his head.
