James Harden dropped his 19th triple-double of the season and second in 24 hours to lead the Houston Rockets to a 109-105 victory over the Denver Nuggets.
Harden overcame a hard fall and back-to-back games fatigue to finish with 40 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists.
“Drained?” said Harden. “What’s that?”
“I’m just happy we won (coming) off a loss (to the Pelicans).”
The Nuggets were their own worse enemy on the night, missing a number of easy lay-ups. Will Barton also missed a three and a lay-up with the scores at 107-105 in the final 30 seconds.
Barton went 2-13 from the floor and 1-9 from three on the night.
